The Core Idea
Many individuals and small businesses conduct financial transactions every day without maintaining structured records.
Traditional accounting systems and financial software often demand high accounting literacy, steep onboarding friction, and overwhelming complexity that discourages regular recording. Catatmak was built around a simple idea: make financial recording easier to start, easier to understand, and practical enough to become part of everyday activity.
By stripping away unnecessary complexity and focusing on rapid, intuitive logging, Catatmak bridges the gap between informal cash flow and digital financial discipline.
Presenting Catatmak to the Government of Banyumas
In 2024, Catatmak was presented to the Acting Regent of Banyumas (Pj Bupati Banyumas) together with representatives of the Banyumas Regency Government as a digital solution for accessible financial recording. The initiative received support from the Acting Regent and Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kabupaten Banyumas (Dinkominfo Banyumas) toward its goal of helping the community build better financial-recording habits.

Catatmak's journey extended beyond product development into financial education. At Banyumas Naik Kelas #BisaBersamaVisa (organized with BenihBaik.com and Visa), Fitrian Chandra Yoga participated as a speaker / narasumber, sharing practical material on financial recording and demonstrating how digital tools can help people and small businesses build more structured financial habits. Catatmak served as a practical example of turning financial-recording concepts into everyday action.
Reflection: Technology Grounded in Real Communities
Catatmak demonstrated that building effective digital products is not solely an engineering exercise — it requires engaging the people who will use it, presenting the vision to civic institutions, and standing in front of community members to teach practical habits. The project reinforced my conviction in building software that solves tangible day-to-day problems with low barrier to entry.
